Age

You know, I don't feel old - until I look in the mirror. Then, I realize that I'm not as young as I used to be (duh!).

I'm sure that it is a huge revelation to the world. I mean, every second we live, means older!

I was just wondering why when I am just beginning to feel like I'm "coming into my own" (so to speak) that I suddenly feel and look old. I don't have the strength and energy that I used to. I get tired quicker.

Maybe it is because I am keeping my grandchildren that I realize this difference. Also, watching my grown children with their kids reminds me of what I used to do and be.

Hence, I'm reading the "Fabulous at 50" book. It is really helping me to define what's happening in my body. Hopefully, I can do what it says and make 50 the new 30 - or in my case, since I'm approaching the next decade of age, maybe the new 40...

One of the things I've learned is to keep my insides clean.... spiritually, physically and emotionally. In other words, keep close to Jesus and make His Word important so that I can be "clean"... then, to also keep my body cleansed so that the toxins don't build up and cause disease. Emotionally, I need to keep short accounts and not let negative emotions of fear, unforgiveness and bitterness to live in me.

By doing these simple things, I will not only live longer and better and be happier and enjoy my life and grandkids more. (Have I mentioned how BLESSED I am to be able to spend time with them and keep them????)
Just some thoughts...

As I approach 45 years young I can relate to everything you are saying. I find that staying in the word is a must and I see the need to keep myself as physically fit as possible.
God has much to do yet, in and through us. So here's to embracing the seasons of life in which we find ourselves and making the most of each of them.

haha I'm laughing at the "hot" part - especially while having no a/c! It makes it too true for!

I'm right behind you sister.
I look at my hands and puzzle at the "age spots". Whose hands are these anyway? I will forego mention of all the other things I notice. I'll just focus on being thankful! Praying for quick healing for your AC.
