Because of the way that it is made, when it is hung, this is what you see. It is not very attractive ...... so, I have hung some silk ivy over the hook to cover it up. I did it again in our new home while hugsum was out of town. When he returned, he asked me PLEASE do not put the ivy over it because it reminds him of "old" people - like a man with a toupee stuck on top of his head - like this ...
... so, I sweetly removed the ivy and placed this on it...
he didn't like that either... imagine that!
so, what do YOU do to cover up?

Paint it the same color as the wall.
p.s. Rebekah, I still can't comment on your blog. Rejects me everytime! Clothes have been UPS to you today.
I'm laughing too hard to think. Imagine him not liking your second choice LOL
Painting it the same color would help but there must to some other way...Can you put a decorative shelf under it and lean it. The shelf could have a lip and you could use a thin strip of non-slip shelving material.
That is too funny. Brilliant suggestions on decorating tend to fail me, but I'm always good for a laugh. ; )
Ms. Merrie,
First, I want to say I miss you and Pastor Steve very much. I look forward to reading your blog everyday. Now, your mirror, I would have a full colored satin bow made that will accent your room. Place the tails of the bow behind the mirror, make sure the tails are longer than the mirror.
I have seen this at others homes and it really does look great. Something like this would like great too. Below is a link to a picture of a bow that would cover that spot and look great.
