Today is my daughter's birthday. It is a milestone for her. She turns 30. It has been a rough year for her. She had her 3rd child in 3 years. Went back to school. Even though she has a Biology degree from Oral Roberts University, she wanted to be a nurse. So, she had to go back and pick up some courses. Now, she is in Nursing School.
I'm proud of the woman that she is. Adversity has turned her in to a strong, beautiful person who is sensitive and loving.
She is not perfect and has made mistakes. She repents. She does what she can to make amends.
She loves deeply. She is a wonderful mama! She is a great wife. She is a fantastic daughter. She shares her life with us. She shares her children with us. She is quick to help and be there.
There are a few things on her "list" that she wanted to do before 30, like run in a marathon (every time she started training she got pregnant!). The good thing is, that those things can be still be done.
I'm so thankful for her life and her gift to us of being our daughter. I'm proud. She is a Christian who knows the value of forgiveness. She is learning mercy and compassion. She knows the importance of truth and honesty and how your words should match your actions.
She could write a book... she could teach us all a few things.
Yeah, that's my daughter.
Happy Birthday! May this be the beginning of the BEST of the rest of your life! It is true, the best really is yet to come.

Happy Day to both of you! It's so wonderful to see our children grow into their destiny. Keep on praying in the spirit! Eph. 6:18
Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter and Amen to her commitment to God and family and mother! Letting you share her children- yahooey!
What a beautiful tribute to your daughter. She is so blessed to have you for her Mama!
Thanks, Moma! I couldn't have done alot of it without you! Thanks for being there for me and supporting me and loving me through it all!
Awwww, what a precious post. You're not kidding, though, I felt great in my 20's, but I wouldn't trade my 30's for ANYthing. It really does just keep getting better!
Merrie,
Happy birthday to your daughter. What a blessing to be able to share so much with her.
Hugs,
Susan
she's beautiful. I'm not talking about this on FB yet, but just wanted to let you know I’m not around much this week because I’m on the THIRD death of a friend. Today the guy who was the best man in our wedding and a lifelong friend passed, and I am heartbroken. I had to leave work to come home and cry and pray. I know you can’t tell it on the blog; I have pre-written most of the posts this week.
Appreciate your prayers.
Linda
